As Christians, we are called to enact the love and compassion of our God. We believe that means that we have to reach out to others in a way that will lift them up when they struggle. As human beings, we were intended to live interconnected and interdependent with one another. As such, we work hard to reach out to those who are in need.

  1. On Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of the month) we collect non-perishable food for Merton House in Bridgeport Ct.
  2. We provide food for Thomas Merton House in Bridgeport the third Tuesday of every month.
  3. We also support community families that find themselves in need by working in partnership with Covenant to Care and a local social worker. Through these relationships we donate holiday meals to families, Christmas presents to children, and backpacks each September to children returning to school.

We invite all people to join us in our mission work, even if you aren’t a member of the church. Our outreach efforts are a great opportunity for anyone looking to give back to the community and for school-age children looking to provide service to the community. The work of our hands helps others to feel the blessings of God in their own lives and through their experiences with other caring peoples.
